Anna of the North is currently making some of the best dream-pop out there. I’ve been a fan for several years now since I heard The Dreamer and Oslo back in 2015. They have a way of making consistently transportive synth-led music that is always enjoyable to listen to. Over the past year and a half, new releases have been few and far between, but always worth the wait (Baby was one of my top songs of 2016). Luckily for us the wait is almost over for even more new music as they have announced their debut album, Lovers, to be released on September 8th. With it they have released the title track and it’s one that’s definitely worth your time. Present as always are the bouncy synths and calm vocals, but like many artists I’ve been talking about lately, they seem to be aiming higher with a larger scale, which is a great look on them. Do yourself a favor and check out Lovers below and be on the lookout for their album of the same name in September!
