Artists to Watch 2017 #11: IDER

ider

I first heard about IDER when the artist beyond one of my favorite albums of the year, Shura, started posting about them earlier this year after the release of their debut track, Sorry. Much like Shura, I was instantly infatuated by their gorgeous melodies and satisfying shifting harmonies. With follow-up songs Pulse, King Ruby, and Million, IDER have yet to take a misstep. Their music sounds familiar but somehow totally fresh, due at least in part to their interesting play on song structure, most clearly seen on my favorite track, Pulse, which maintains a unique time signature throughout. IDER is a clear example of a group being overlooked by some major lists, but I love them and am so excited to see what they do in the coming year.

Start with: Pulse, Million
